Cardinal Youth Football League

Attributes about Cardinal YFL:

• Cardinal YFL is a newer Columbus area league.

• The league was founded in 2023.

• The CYFL season runs from August through October and includes a playoff.

• 3 recreational divisions: Mini, Junior, and Senior.

• Most regular-season games are played on Sundays. There may be an occasional Saturday game.

• Teams involved (pending others): Columbus Blackhawks, Columbus Crusaders, GCAA Steelers, Mansfield, Marion, Mount Vernon Black, Mount Vernon Orange, Zanesville, Walnut Heights

Weight Restrictions:

​

• Skill players for 5/6th must be at or under 130 lbs and at or under 115 lbs for 3/4th. 

• Players in excess of these weights will only be eligible to play on the line.

• Initial weigh-ins will occur prior to start of season.

• There is one weigh-in only.

• No 7th graders or 13-year-olds (cut-off date 8/1).
