This is Sparta

Who are the Spartans?

We are a third-year youth football and first-year cheer club based in Grove City, Ohio welcoming 3rd through 6th graders in the greater Columbus area who are interested in participating in a competitive tackle football and sideline cheer environment with potential post-season travel opportunities.

Tell me about your coaches!

Our coaches participate in annual training sessions which include the latest youth football techniques. Tackle football coaches are certified through USA Football in partnership with the NFL and the CDC to learn “heads up tackling” to ensure that all players are using correct and safe form. Coaches are nationally accredited through the National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE). Each coach must submit an annual criminal records background application as well as pass multiple certification exams. We do not skimp on, skim over, or turn a blind eye to background checks. Every coach must meet our requirements – no exceptions. Additionally, most of our coaches have collegiate level playing experience and understand the skill and work ethic required to excel in football.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide our young athletes with tools to meet their competitive potential, while encouraging solid academics, good sportsmanship, and a commitment to community service, so that they may effectively lead on and off the field.

01.

Development

We aim to provide our athletes with all of the tools necessary to be the best athletes they can be.

02.

Academics

We want to prepare our players for life. We will do our best to help any child struggling in school.

03.

Sportsmanship

We want our players to be the most formidable opponents on the field during plays, but the kindest between plays.

04.

Community Service

Our players will know what giving looks like.

05.

Leadership

Our goal is to arm kids with a leadership mentality to ensure they grow up to be courageous leaders in their communities.

Community Service

We feel strongly about teaching our players about service as an aspect of leadership. Check out the ways our players have gotten involved in the community!
